The name is taken from the district. Tanjong Pagar has been a working commercial quarter of Singapore for well over a century — first a harbour and a set of godowns, then shophouses and trading offices, and now a part of the central business district where law firms, family offices and regional headquarters sit alongside one another.
The & Co. is deliberate. It is the oldest shorthand in commerce for a house that stands behind its name: a partnership, an establishment, a business with people in it. Pagar & Co. is meant to read as a business house, not as a low-cost virtual-office provider — and the service is built to justify that reading.
